A portrait is not a likeness. The moment an emotion or fact is transformed into a photograph it is no longer a fact but an opinion. There is no such thing as inaccuracy in a photograph. All photographs are accurate. None of them is the truth.

― Richard Avedon

Portrait. It derives from the French word pourtraict meaning to portray, to represent with images or words. But the Latin root is prōtrahō meaning to bring forth, to bring out, to expose, reveal, discover - to bring to the light.

That's what I do. I bring you to the light. I  discover your authentic self and expose it through a subtle dance of heart, mind and light.

A portrait is the culmination of a dance. It is an outer and inner revelation shared by all its participants. The camera does not steal, borrow or capture, it connects. Each portrait, each connection, is therefore wholly unique and full of wonders.

I shoot in natural light against unique backgrounds to provide the best contrast and texture. Whether on location or in your office I strive to capture the warm and authentic personality of indivduals and teams in mesmerizing, unforgettable portraits.
